At Vanni Hope, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of young individuals striving for a better future through education. We're proud to support Losani, an aspiring law student at the University of Jaffna. Losani's journey is one of resilience and determination. Hailing from Uda Deltota, Kandy, her family has faced numerous challenges. Her father passed away due to illness, leaving her mother, a daily wage labourer, as the sole provider. The family's situation is further complicated by her mother's health issues, preventing her from working regularly. With a brother and sister still in school, the family struggles with a very low income amidst the rising cost of living and the current economic crisis. They don't have a permanent home and rely on her mother's sporadic income, making it extremely difficult for Losani to continue her university education. Our scholarship for Losani aims to alleviate this burden and ensure she can pursue her studies, contributing to her personal growth and the betterment of her community.
